Hi, I’m Pedram

I’m a platform engineer based in Zürich, working in data & analytics. I’ve built cloud infrastructure and data platforms at places like Skinmade, Bosch, HashiCorp, and Porsche. At HashiCorp, I helped customers implement zero trust solutions, which is part of why I’m increasingly drawn to security these days, especially the questions the AI era is raising around it. I write here about what I pick up along the way, like architecture patterns, AWS, Azure, and platform engineering in practice.

A few books outside the cloud/AWS stuff that have stuck with me:

  • Meditations (affiliate link) by Marcus Aurelius (Penguin Classics) — short, practical stoicism that holds up better than most productivity advice.
  • The Daily Laws (affiliate link) by Robert Greene (audiobook) — a daily-entry distillation of his other books; easy to dip into between projects.
  • Man’s Search for Meaning (affiliate link) by Viktor Frankl (audiobook) — on finding purpose under pressure, which resonates more the longer I spend in this industry.
  • Think and Grow Rich (affiliate link) by Napoleon Hill — dated in places, but the underlying point about deliberate, focused effort still lands.
